15th November 2009 (Amman - Istanbul) JorAMCo and Tailwind Airlines the Turkish start-up charter and wet-leasing operator signed a heavy maintenance agreement. The agreement includes maintenance services and modification work to be accomplished on the Tailwind's Boeing 737-400 fleet comprising of 3 aircraft, the fleet is expected to expand by another 2 aircraft by 2010.

The agreement comes as a result of JorAMCo's direct and relentless involvement in the growing Turkish aviation market, offering high standard MRO services to a number of Turkish operators, this deal will increase JorAMCo's market share in Turkish market and will no doubt encourage other operators in the region to consider JorAMCo as their preferred maintenance partner and a practical maintenance option for their maintenance requirements.

Tailwind's strategic growth plan includes opening their own maintenance and logistics centers in Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and Ataturk Airports. Achieving this, Tailwind Airlines, with JAR-145 certification will be able to provide maintenance service to their fleet, and provide high quality maintenance service to the other operators.

Tailwind Airlines is a joint Turkish and British partnership. It was established to create an efficient, modern and quality airline service in the civil aviation sector to support the growth of air travel to and from Turkey. Tailwind maintains offering both tourist charters and ad hoc private charter flights between Europe and Turkey.
