(Amman, Jordan – July 14, 2021) – Joramco Academy—the aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul school operated by local and regional MRO leader Joramco—has officially kicked off registration for its next class of students. The four-year training program, which officially begins on September 1, prepares individuals for a lucrative career in aircraft maintenance, a field that is witnessing rapid growth and high demand both locally and internationally.
Joramco Academy is open to any eligible candidate over the age of 18 who has passed any section of the Tawjihi exam. Students who are admitted to the academy enter into a four-year program that includes two years of theoretical study and two years of practical experience in the aircraft technician and maintenance field, conducted on site at Joramco’s facilities at the Queen Alia International Airport. Those who successfully complete their studies at Joramco Academy are given employment priority with the company upon graduation.
Discussing the valuable educational opportunity offered by Joramco Academy, the head of Joramco Academy, Samer Khurma, said, “With the aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul sector projected to continue growing steadily over the coming decade, the prospects offered by a career in this field are outstanding. As the largest independent MRO in the region, we at Joramco are particularly well-equipped to offer our experience and expertise to the next generation of aircraft technicians, and we are eager to pass down these insights—forged over more than 50 years in the industry—to our students at the academy.”
In addition to working to provide the local and regional markets with aircraft technicians who are highly skilled and specialized in their field, Joramco seeks to employ its industry-leading positioning to contribute to the overall development of the Kingdom’s private sector and the reduction of national unemployment rates, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
